We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Glasgow, UK. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong focus on quality, precision, and safety. This role involves working with a variety of materials and equipment to produce high-quality fabricated products for our clients.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine job requirements.
  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, including grinders, cutters, and drills.
  • Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to welding and fabrication processes.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior staff, as required.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Welding/Fabrication or equivalent qualification.
  • CSWIP (Certification Scheme for Welding Inspection Personnel) or CCNSG (Client Contractor National Safety Group) certification is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of welding materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with welding standards and codes (e.g., BS EN ISO 9606, ASME, or AWS).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid UK driver’s license (preferred for travel to job sites, if required).
  • Experience working in structural steel fabrication or heavy engineering.
  • Knowledge of CNC cutting machines and plasma cutting.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for basic design modifications.
  • Experience in pipe welding or pressure vessel fabrication.
