Qualified Electrician – Glasgow, UK
We are seeking a fully qualified Electrician to join our team in Glasgow, UK. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. - Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear, to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
- Ensure all work complies with UK electrical regulations and safety standards (e.g., BS 7671 Wiring Regulations).
- Perform routine maintenance and testing of electrical systems to prevent issues.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to deliver high-quality work.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2365 or 2357 (Electrical Installation).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification.
- ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) card – Gold Card preferred.
- Inspection and Testing qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395).
- PAT Testing certification (if applicable).
- Valid UK driver’s license (required for travel to job sites).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a qualified electrician.
- Experience working in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of UK electrical regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, including multimeters, cable testers, and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
