Qualified Electrician – Glasgow, UK

We are seeking a fully qualified Electrician to join our team in Glasgow, UK. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across residential, commercial, and industrial settings.   • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear, to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Ensure all work complies with UK electrical regulations and safety standards (e.g., BS 7671 Wiring Regulations).
  • Perform routine maintenance and testing of electrical systems to prevent issues.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to deliver high-quality work.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
  • City & Guilds 2365 or 2357 (Electrical Installation).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification.
  • ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) card – Gold Card preferred.
  • Inspection and Testing qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395).
  • PAT Testing certification (if applicable).
  • Valid UK driver’s license (required for travel to job sites).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a qualified electrician.
  • Experience working in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of UK electrical regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, including multimeters, cable testers, and power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
